This tune evolved from an earlier work from the 1999 SHANKH recordings entitled Juju. In fact, I would have carried over the name as it is essentially the same composition, but there are already so many tunes called Juju that I took the opportunity to change the title. In another parallel to the Shankh sessions I invited Don Black to play Soprano Sax.
